About the firm

The firm

Duxton Hill was founded in 2019 as a fraud boutique. It has since evolved into a broader disputes practice, spanning company and shareholder disputes, insolvency and asset recovery, private wealth disputes and the conduct of investigations and inquiries, unified by a single touchstone: an allegation of misconduct. Where dishonesty, breach of trust or serious misconduct is alleged, by our clients or against them, that is our field.

These cases are won on evidence, timing and judgment, and they frequently demand more than law: forensic accounting, digital forensics, investigation. We direct those disciplines to legal standards, so that what is found can be used, and we appear as advocates in the proceedings that follow.

How we work

The firm is deliberately partner-led. The partners you meet conduct your matter, and the circle of those who touch your affairs remains small for its life.

Where a matter calls for capability beyond the law, we draw on an established network of investigation firms, forensic accountants and litigation funders to assemble the right team. We instruct investigators; we do not compete with them.

How we engage

Engagements begin with a confidential consultation and a defined first stage. Scope and fees are agreed before each stage commences; when a matter changes shape, as contested matters do, scope and fees are re-agreed before work continues. Our clients are not surprised by their fees.
